Road trip to Motegi with Fiat 500After the trip to Qatar on board Fiat 500 and the victorious debut on the Losail track, Fiat’s livebloggers and the Fiat Yamaha Team will now get to Japan to make a road trip across the country which will take them to Motegi for the second MotoGP race of the season. Leaving on Sunday April 18th, the two Fiat 500s with the Fiat Yamaha Team livery will travel through Tokio, Yokohama, Fuji and Hamamatsu to finally reach the Motegy circuit. In this article you will discover the road trip destinations, the participants and, finally, you will get the chance to learn about the guest of the Fiat Yamaha Team paddock and the initiatives promoted by our livebloggers.

The trip of Fiat’s livebloggers on board the two Fiat 500s branded “Official Fiat Yamaha Team Car” will kick off on April 18th from the Fiat Caffé in Tokio. The protagonists of the road trip in Japan will include, beside livebloggers Tiziana Di Gioia and Alex Simonini (already the protagonists in Qatar), Japanese biker Kai “hakushaku” Nashimoto and internationally-renowned photographer Alessio Pizzicannella

You will be able to follow them through the official channels of the Fiat Yamaha Team on Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and discover the exclusive pictures on the photo gallery on Flickr and on our YouTube channel. In addition, we will publish daily updates here on Fiat On The Web and on the Fiat Yamaha Team official website. Here are the road trip destinations: Yokohama (April 18th), Minatorimai and the 298-metre-high Landmark Tower, Mount Fuji (April 19th) and the Yamaha Motors headquarters in Hamamatsu. On April 20th, the expedition will be back to Tokio for the exclusive “Fiat Yamaha Team” party with Valentino Rossi’s YZR-M1 on display. On the following days (April 21st and 22nd), our livebloggers will visit Akihabara – the famous Tokio neighbourhood home to a concentration of hi-tech shops, where you can truly feel the Japanese Manga and Anime culture – and Showa Dori, the street where all the riders in the Japanese capital meet up.

The activities and the surprises for the MotoGP race in Japan are not over yet. The Fiat Yamaha Team is delighted to host an extraordinary guest: Simone Legno will be the team’s guest on the day of the race. On Sunday April 25th, tokidoki will be there to make some drawings depicting the Fiat Yamaha Team pit, life in the paddock and the people making it lively and thrilling, obviously in his unique and unmistakable style. Over that day, tokidoki’s drawings will be posted on our Flickr album right away, so don’t miss them!
